FOR YOUR INFORMATION: The Archdiocese has issued the following guidelines to be followed by the parishes during this crisis time:
All public Masses are canceled beginning Saturday, March 14 at 4 pm UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. This includes Sunday Masses as well as weekdays.
Churches will remain open for private prayer (here at St. Frances de Chantal we will have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament during the usual hours of the church opening from 7 am until 3:30 pm)
Experts advise people to be spaced 3 to 6 feet away form one another while in church.
Sacraments: Confirmations, baptims, First Holy communions, First penance, Weddings have been postponed.
These directives can be changed or modified as the situation with the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) dictates. Prayer and Patience.
Funeral masses canot be celebrated.
Wake services in funeral homes cannot be scheduled.
Burials at St. Raymond's Cemetery are limited to 5 people in attedance.
Upon reasonable request, confessions may be heard, preferably by "appointment" at the parish office or some other appropriate place.
The obligation to keep the Lord's Day holly can be fulfilled by maintaining a prayerful attitude and through personal and family prayer.
If you have a Mass intention we, the priests, are celebrating private Masses and we will remember your specific intention but if you wish to re-schedule a particular date, please wait until we resume regular Masses and a new date will be provided for you in the rectory office.
Parishes should continue with increased cleaning and sanitizing efforts. (Here at St. Frances, Leo does this on a daily basis).
ALSO, FROM THE ARCHDIOCESE …. elementary schools are closed until further notice, no religious education classes, no sports or CYO practices or games no Stations of the Cross or social events.
Bishops need to consult with individual pastors regarding Confirmations.
All of our parish group meetings are cancelled for the time being.
